MSC to Enhance Chinook Service with Haiphong Call

MSC has announced plans to expand its Chinook service with the addition of a new call at Haiphong, Vietnam. This strategic move will bolster MSC’s Transpacific network, offering direct connectivity between Vietnam and the United States and Canada.

Effective late October, the Haiphong call will provide North Vietnamese exporters and importers with enhanced access to the Pacific Northwest and Southwest US and Canadian ports. This expansion will result in faster and more efficient transit times, streamlining trade flows for businesses in the region.

The revised Chinook service rotation will commence with MSC DAMLA departing from Haiphong on October 23rd. The updated route is as follows:

Haiphong (Vietnam) – Yantian (China) – Shanghai (China) – Qingdao (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Vancouver (Canada) – Seattle (US) – Portland (US) – Haiphong

This service enhancement underscores MSC’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient transportation solutions to meet the growing trade demands between Vietnam and North America.
