CMA CGM has announced updated Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates, impacting shipments originating from all Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia, and Bangladesh) destined for all North European ports (UK and ports from Portugal to Finland/Estonia).

Effective Date: This revised pricing structure takes effect for shipments with a loading date at the origin port starting April 1st, 2024, and will remain in place until further notice.

What Cargo Types are Affected?

These new FAK rates apply to a wide range of cargo, ensuring flexibility for your shipping needs:

• Dry Cargo: Standard containerized goods that don’t require temperature control.
• Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Cargo: Oversized or oddly shaped cargo requiring specialized handling.
• Reefer Containers: Temperature-controlled containers for perishable goods.
• Paying Empty Containers: Empty containers being repositioned for future use (additional fees may apply).

Updated FAK Rates (Effective April 1st, 2024):

• 20′ GP Container: US$2,100
• 40′ GP/40′ HC/40′ Reefer Container: US$3,800
